Gong Hei Fat Choy Reloaded -- Clementi Post CNY Reunion @ Bugis
And so it's decided that Clementi should have a reunion dinner for ourselves. Down town we went, looking for some goodie foodie at Bugis. Along the way, Kok Ping kept bugging everyone to go watch his hall's musical. Hard selling tactics were employed, but no one fell for his tricks. And it is a surprise that people still sat around him during dinner. We finally settled down for a steamboat stall. Sadly, there's no "Buddha Jump Over the Wall", only Fuzhou fishballs. But fret not, Shaun, Kok Ping and Zhicheng is here to show you the "Way of the Buddha"!
Kok Ping demonstrates the "Beginning" stance.
This is the "Defensive" stance. One can counterattack very quickly and effectively from this position. Very deadly indeed...
Shaun shows us the "Heavenly" stance. The hands are raised 45° with palms facing outwards. This allows the palms to draw energy and "essence" from the surroundings. "Supernatural gas" is then exerted from the underarms (read: armpits) by use of the inner force. Gas can be emitted infinitely as this is a self-sustainable system. Due to the potency of this stance, some call it the "Ultimate" stance.
The "Lotus" stance, so named because the practitioner looks like a Buddha sitting on a lotus.
Nothing can harm Shaun at this point of time.
The girls laughing. They don't believe the "Way of the Buddha". Never mind, they will understand when the time is right.
An elated Zhicheng when he mastered the stances.
With his newly learnt trades, Zhicheng shows us the "Lotus" stance. Meanwhile, Sin Hang is still suffering from Shaun's "Heavenly" stance, having sat beside him when he was exerting his inner force (see 3rd pic from top). The night ends with a bout of kung-fu sparring as we all fought for the delectable Fuzhou fishballs with our chopsticks.
*Note: The "Way of the Buddha" is actually an intellectual game. The riddler manipulate his/her hands as if holding a piece of string. The guessers then guess whether the riddler's pose shows that he/she is holding "one string", "half a string" or "no string". For more information on this game, please contact Shaun.
