~~!!Happy March Birthdays!!~~
Something big is happening at Clementi centre today!!No, the President is not coming down to visit us!
No, Xue Fen is not dropping on her routine patrol (even if she does, it doesn't constitute a big hoohah)!
We're celebrating the March babies' birthdays today! And there is not one, not two, but TEN March babies!! Baby boomer!!
This is indeed one of the most expensive Marches around..
So here we are at the tuition centre. The cameras are out, so let's start shooting away!
Tuition starts at 2.30pm but we can see some people getting busy already.
Liqin and Shi'en, who is digging deep into her homework.

This nest is home to the kids on Saturdays. And their guardians of the day, Priscilla, Xin Yi and Qimin, are busy taking care of them.But it's hard to keep the hyperactive kids learning quietly at one corner. One moment with your eyes off, and they will be anywhere you don't want them to.
Why are they jumping up and down so excitedly??
Haha..Cheng Papa is taking pictures and they're eager to appear in the photos. Looks like these kids love taking photos. Who knows? Maybe they will grow up to be sought-after photographers?
We somehow managed to convince them to stand still for a shot. And just as you begin to wonder where is Ryan...
He comes along and sparked another bout of jumping again! Gosshh.... Xin Yiiiii grab hold of him!!
Things finally managed to settle down a bit...and just in time too, as the other tutees have arrived.

Si Xing, one of the favourite tutees of the centre due to his great personality (he always go about shaking the hands of all volunteers after tuition ended), goes physical on his tutor Shaun..

The mastermind at the heart of the action is our dear Cheng Papa.Behind him on the left of the pic are his accomplices, Sin Hang and Enchen..
while on the right, giving him the "V" sign unsuspectingly are the victims Ching Ting, Sam and Siew Yin..
The party started and Cheng Papa brought in the cake to the singing of the Birthday song
Ching Ting was so surprised and happy she laugh till she got spasm and can't move..Siew Yin had to carry her to the table to celebrate, otherwise Siew Yin can't celebrate her birthday too..

This is because Sam is a good conductor of human touches and actions. He is still being studied by Dr. Kjaeprawdt M. !Nrovziz, who is due for a Nobel prize because of this.
The latest news is that Sam is also a good conductor of electricity. Try it! It's true!
Meanwhile, as everyone gets into the buzz of Sam being a great conductor, Edmund is busy cutting the cakes. Unknown to most people, Edmund is actually a master chef. The cakes he cut are all perfectly 10cm x 10cm x 5cm and weighs exactly 77g.

SPARKZ '08!!
It's early Saturday morning. But no time to wake up late today as we are having our annual SPARKZ event!! 8.30am is indeed very early, but we still managed to reach on time, and the participants duely arrived by bus from SADeaf.Awaiting a very exciting and fun-filled day ahead of us... Let's see what's in store!
The participants start warming up as they are being split into groups. Here are Rachel, Enchen, Sin Hang and Yiting in "Sun" group.

A war of water soon break out as the game was ending. Hall 10 became sparkling clean =)
Peace at last as the participants gathered back to be briefed for the next game.

Alright...lunch and break is finally over. We head off to the fields, praying that the weather is kind to us. And indeed...we get a scorching hot weather...well...let's not be greedy..as long as it doesn't rain, we should be happy.
The next game involves making a cushion out of newspaper, egg trays and straws to catch a thrown egg. We can see "Earth" group making their cushion here..
Meanwhile, Mars is ready. And Amirul and Ryan takes shelter from the heat! How cute!

Amirul: Luckily they caught it..else it'ld be egg on our faces..

In the end, A&R still got egged..and Nanny Xinyi has to help clean up the two of them

The evening show commences with the 4 groups presenting a skit which they prepared in the free time they had in the afternoon.

The event draws to a close as prizes are given out to each of the 4 groups. Everyone gets a share of the spoils!
Cheng Papa back in action after taking a break. Now he's gonna carry Little Samuel home. Samuel stays in Woodlands, Cheng Papa stays in Tiong Bahru, so it's actually very convenient. Thank you Cheng Papa..see you and enjoy your journey!
Did I mention he's gonna piggy back him aallll the way? ;)

The event finally ended with some leftover food which the hallies happily brought back (no grocery shopping for one week!).
Congratulations to Kallang Centre and SPARKZ '08 Committee!! It has been a really tiring day..but also a fun-filled and exciting one!! =)))
